We’ve had a busy weekend here in Birmingham. As you know, one of our central apostolates has been supporting the important work of EWTN. This weekend, they hosted a Family Celebration in the arena downtown, centered around the theme “The Life and Legacy of Mother Angelica.”

Our friars participated by:

  • Celebrating Mass
  • Hearing Confessions
  • Appearing on live TV and radio broadcasts and, of course
  • Greeting the many families in attendance!

Also this month, Fr. Leonard celebrated a special Mass for students at St. Francis parish, which is located next to the University of Alabama.

Both of these events remind us how blessed we are to participate in the mission of supporting the New
Evangelization–both in person and through the media. It is our prayer that we can be instruments of God’s love and truth to each person that we encounter.

We pray that you have a wonderful beginning of the fall season.

  1. Hello Faithful Fine Friars. Thank you for the website and for ALL you do for the Kingdom. I am always blessed to jump on here and stay in contact with you. You are in the Rosary each day covered and snuggled in love of the Lord. A group of us from Queen of Peace Parish, Millville, Ohio will be at the Shrine on April 17th and at EWTN on April 19th. We are scheduled for a Friar talk and a tour there at EWTN. Blessings from above embrace you and surround you in new and wonderfully fresh ways. Amen!!! THANK YOU FROM OHIO !!! Looking forward to seeing you in April.
