Lent is a busy season for all priests, and our community is no exception. As people seek to strengthen their relationship with the Lord and to receive His mercy, we have the blessing of helping them to do so.

This month started with a retreat for EWTN employees..how wonderful it was for us to receive the graces there that we’ll need to serve others throughout the Lenten season! Our priests will be giving parish missions, leading retreats, and listening to confessions during Penance services, along with our regular ministries and outreaches.

Just a few of our Lenten outreaches include: a 40 Hours Lenten Mission in Iowa; several Lenten Penance Services locally; Lenten Missions in Alabama and Colorado; and several other events.

It is an incredible privilege to witness so many men, women and young people return to the Lord. For a priest, there is no better way to prepare for the Resurrection of the Lord at Easter than to play some small part in the deepening of the spiritual lives of others.

During this Lenten season, we hope that you’ll take advantage of the many opportunities available to you to go deeper in your faith. There is no sin to big to confess, no wound to deep to heal, and no time that is too brief to offer a quick prayer to God.
