  1. Greetings Father Joesph,
I know that you are a Priest of prayer and holy goodness. So, I want to express to you of the stress and struggles
I am going through, with my partner Thomas who has Parkinsons and dementia. I have been saying the Surrender
Prayer that was said to Don Dolindo Ruotolo from Jesus for help often. I am Toms care giver, and I am 81 Tom is 83. I am the oly help for him. I am asking Jesus to be merciful and give Tom rest. This disease is hard on us caregivers. Though I took care of the sick for many many years as a Certified Nurses Aid, is nothing like what I am experiencing now. I know that we are in Jesus waiting room for His help. Please Father pray for us and give us a new hope. That for the short years ahead Tom will be able to function and have a good mind and goodness he always had. Life is a gift Father, and it does not come with a bow. You are a gift to all and that is special.
Thank you and stay well and safe
    John Lane

  2. Dear Father Joseph,
May I tell you about my “Dear” friend, “Angie” who passed on 17 February 2026 at the age of 96! I first met Angie when I stopped to talk to her daughter who was walking her dogs. We chatted a minute and she told me that her elderly Mother was living with her. When I asked what she did all day she said she watches EWTN and loves Mother Angelica. Having visited and met Mother around 1996, I asked would she like me to come over and tell her about meeting Mother. So, I went to visit her with pictures and even an autographed picture of Mother which I had obtained for my Monsignor who has since died. He loved Mother too! I now came into the possession of the picture. I left the picture with Angie who loved it and kept it where she could see it by the TV. Angie was a deeply spiritual person who loved Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament and had been a Eucharist Minister for many years bringing Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament to the homebound! She was a woman of service, having sung in her church choir and was even a volunteer at Mount Vernon. I thought that it was going to be a onetime visit and that I would leave the picture of Mother for her to enjoy for a while. That turned into almost three years before she died recently. Angie’s day was filled with prayer. Though she could not get out to go to Mass she did watch it on EWTN and prayed the rosary with Mother Angelica. We became fast friends and I often went to visit her, and we prayed the rosary together, discussed our faith, our love of Mother and Jesus and our families. I was very happy that Angie could watch the Mass and other EWTN programs especially during Lent! Perhaps there are many Angies out there who because of EWTN were able to feel like part of the church still. I hope the viewers of EWTN could think about people like Angie and contribute money so that others who are shut in can see the Mass and pray the rosary! I will miss my “Dear” friend Angie! My wish is that people do a service and contribute to EWTN so others like Angie can feel connected and practice their faith together with the EWTN family! Thank you, Father Joseph. God Bless you!
