Pain, why do you afflict me?
From birth you rarely cease to be
By my side.
You lay waste to my pride,
you break my will,
You torment my heart and limbs;
I am utterly spent.
Why must you incessantly vent
Your wrath upon my fragile soul!
But then within He spoke to me:
This is not the wrath of a malicious deity!
That you may not grow comfortable in your sin,
let pain be.
Seek that which will set you free!
Seek Love, seek Me!
