This years EWTN Family Celebration was held in Jacksonville, FL in the Diocese of St. Augustine, where the seeds of Catholicism were first sown in the United States. St. Augustine is the oldest continuously inhabited European- established settlement in the continental United States.

All weekend long presenters spoke regarding the theme “Evangelizing in the New World.” The friars spent the day greeting EWTN viewers, hearing hundreds of confessions, appearing on EWTN Family Talk, and celebrating Holy Mass with Bishop Felipe J. Estévez of St. Augustine, FL.

      1. Thank you for the thoughtful concern you have expressed for Father Anthony Mary. Father has a chronic, non life threatening health condition that results in major bouts of fatigue forcing him to cut back on his normal schedule. Although he is largely unable to assist at our early morning, televised Mass he remains quite active midday, regularly offering Noon Mass for the EWTN employees, and hearing confessions. Father misses being with our EWTN family at the broadcast Mass but is grateful for your care and for your prayers. He sends his love to all of you.

  1. Thank you EWTN for coming to Jacksonville Florida. Of course I was hoping to be there the whole day however, it wasn’t possible. We decided to schedule our day around the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. We were happy to be able to hear our Bishop Felipe Estevez speak and to receive Communion from Fr. Mitch. Afterward we met Fr. Mitch and he signed his book, Saved, that I had previously purchased over the EWTN catalog website. He graciously posed for a picture and was very engaging with all of us. I hope that EWTN will be able to fit us in for a return visit. I would love to see all of the area come out in full force and evangelize our beautiful Catholic Faith. I felt there wasn’t enough done to let the faithful know about this Celebration. We never hear anything at Mass when they read the unending events going on in the church. But on their behalf, they did put a full page color ad within the Church Bulletin. We could have had someone create interest and excitement when making announcements at the end of Mass. I personally shared It on FB many times as well as Instagram. I also posted how wonderful it was and attached a couple of photos of my husband and me with Fr. Mitch. The place should have been jammed pack the way it is for concerts, games, and Baptist conventions. We are Catholic, Blessed, Truth, Live our Faith. Thank you EWTN for bringing the Word to us through the media. Even though I have 12 years of Catholic education, your network has re-educated me and explained the liturgy so that when my non catholic friends ask me something I can give them the correct answer and encourage them to watch your network. God Bless all of you. Have a Blessed Advent.

  2. My mom keeps asking me the same question. Can anyone answer if Fr. Anthony has been transferred or reassigned?
