IRONDALE, Ala. – The Friars gathered to take part in an annual tradition of  blessing of EWTN’s facilities on August 14th and 15th.

Each year, leading up the the anniversary of EWTN’s founding, the friars solemnly process with the Blessed Sacrament throughout the EWTN facilities blessing the offices and equipment, thanking and praising God and asking Him for another year of blessings. EWTN Chaplain, Fr. John Paul, led the procession through the EWTN Warehouse, Religious Catalogue, and Shortwave Radio Facility and concluded with blessing the studio and main campus on the Solemnity of the Assumption.

This year EWTN celebrates its 37th anniversary since Mother Angelica launched the network. It originally aired only 4 hours of programming per day to 60,000 homes. Now, EWTN airs 24/7 worldwide and also includes radio, print, news, web, and publishing!

  1. I love EWTN, and the programs have been so comforting for me. Mother Angelica really helped me get through the loss of my Mom, and I have loved her ever since. I will watch EWTN each chance I get. God Bless You All. 🙏🀄🙏
