Brothers and Sisters,

We friars are inviting you to the EWTN Family Celebration in Birmingham, AL! People often tell us they see us on EWTN everyday. Now, we want to see you! Come and enjoy a day with the friars and other EWTN personalities. The event will feature talks, adoration, confessions, Mass, and a play area for children with spiritual lessons. Additionally, EWTN Religious Catalogue will be on-site, offering a wide selection of books, rosaries, art, and many other Catholic items for purchase.

We also invite you to join us for a solemn walk with the Lord with a Eucharistic Procession through the streets of Birmingham starting from the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Center (BJCC) and concluding at St. Paul’s Cathedral. This holy and lively occasion is scheduled for Saturday, August 26, 2023.

  3. Fr. Leonard Mary, thank you for your wonderful inspirational homily on the wise and foolish Virgins. Meets the ordinary where they they are.

  4. Glad to hear Jim is back serving at Mass. Hope all is well with him and his family and our prayers have been answered if it was a health problem or family matter. Welcome him back.

  5. Fr. John Paul, I am a 76 year old widow for 10 years. My husband was a former Jesuit scholastic; he was 65 yrs old and we were married for 41 years when he died suddenly. Your homily on December 30th on Anna and Simeon hit me in the heart. Our two daughters, now in their upper 40’s, enjoyed going to Mass with us as kids and helping with the choir that Greg and I and another couple started 39 yrs ago; the choir still goes strong. But within 6 months of Greg’s death, both girls had been left by their husbands. Neither will talk to any priest about annulment because they believe that their kids will think that they are “mistakes” and should never have been born. Since they have drifted away from the Church, their kids don’t have a chance to learn much about the faith they were baptized into. As you seem to understand quite well from your homily, this is a heartache for me. I just wanted to tell you how much your homily struck home. When I have seen you in the past, you have always looked joyful. At that Mass, you appeared to be very solemn; it left me wondering if you also have family members involved in this struggle. In any case, thank you so much for your concern for those of us in this plight and please continue to pray for us.
