On Her Way

The newly consecrated Clare did not wait long to have another companion. We might call her a “sister-Sister” as it was her younger sister Catherine. Having hoped for this gift in the midst of her own Crosses – that Catherine too would give herself totally to Christ – Clare did not have to wait long. Together we will visit this humble place where Francis brought Clare after the encounter at Bastia Umbra. Catherine received a new name, and more importantly, became a Saint: St. Agnes of Assisi (not to be confused with St. Agnes of Prague, to whom the precious letters of Clare were written).

  1. Thank you so much for sharing something that I would never have seen otherwise; how beautiful! May you have a wonderful trip and safe travels back. God bless you and thank you again.

  2. My wife Donna has late stage ALS. We are trying to get her to Lourdes. Noticed the brothers were there in July. How did you manage that? I know this is unrelated to the topic but not sure how to reach you

    1. We’ll pray for Donna, and yourself as well. 2 of our Friars were in Lourdes last year filming a series that finally aired this summer.
